Guddada Bhootha was one of the first suspense thrillers on Kannada TV, which was quite a hit. The serial was considered unique as every week the show featured adapted themes from famous novels.

Guddada Bhootha (1990) is a thriller, Indian television mini-series which has a suspense storyline based on a drama shows the country life of region of India. The series was produced by popular director. It had as the lead actor. This serial has a very famous title song Dennana Dennana sung. This song along with the music are used in movie The serial consists of 13 episodes and it was re-telecasted in Zee Kannada in the year 2014. ProductionSuvarna initially wanted to make a full-length feature film on the story however the idea was dropped and was made into series. The haunted house featured in the series was shot at journalist Vaddarse Raghurama Shetty's house situated in Kundapura.

SoundtrackThe song 'Dennana Dennana' written by director himself became popular and the song was reused in 2015 film whose content was similar to the series. Home MediaDVDs of the series were released by the company Total Kannada.
